ECG (EKG) heart screening
Florida now requires a one-time ECG heart screening for first-time high school athletes — all incoming ninth graders, along with any student in grades 10–12 who has not previously participated in an FHSAA-sanctioned sport. Returning athletes are encouraged, but not required, to complete one. It is recorded on the FHSAA EL1 form, separate from the EL2 physical.

What to bring
